With our weather luck, you only get to sit outdoors once every four years or so, which is exactly why all Irish people go mad and flock outdoors when there's any chance of sunshine. What other Irish tradition would accompany that you say? A sneaky pint or two sounds about right. Here are some handy pub options that have great outdoor space as well as top notch credentials all around:

Bernard Shaw's
The South Richmond pub is so much more than just a pub. For one, it has an old Dublin bus in out in it's back garden space, renovated for the purpose of a mini restaurant space. Some of the tastiest pizzas and cocktails we've had have been on a lazy, warm Sunday here. There's also plenty of music gig, exhibitions and screenings that regularly take place here. G'wan, order your themed night of frivolity and festivity here!

No Name Bar
Everything sneaky and hidden gets a massive cool sticker, lame as it sounds, it does keep away a lot of the shit-stirring crowd. No Name Bar promises just that with it's easily missed front, making us feel like secret spies out on the lock. The terrace is spot on for the equally elusive Irish sunshine.

The Pavilion Trinity
You don't have to be a Trinity Student to drink at the Pavilion but you may as well act as chillaxed as one by enjoying a good Dublin brew from Messrs Maguire and sprawl out on the pitch. Not to worry if you spot a host of men dressed in white running towards you, these aren't the men in white coming to take you away for pretending you're a student for life, but the Trinners cricket team.

The Market Bar
As all Irish folk know, even when it's glorious out you can't help worry the storm's a'comin. For those days when the fear of Jaysus just won't leave, it's better to head somewhere with the option of some coverage at least. You didn't straighten that hair for nothing after all (that's boys and girls alike).

Pygmalion
Head to South William St. while it's nice and sunny to imbibe the hippie-chic vibes of Pygmalion, as well as the beer/assortment of alcoholic beverages. The DJs and live bands that play certain days means there is always a hub of people so make good time to get a terrace seat. The tapas and hookahs on offer may well smash cultures together but who doesn't enjoy a good international blend?
