Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas have split. The couple had been together for nearly a year.

The actors were first linked back in early 2020 when they were shooting the thriller 'Deep Water' in New Orleans together.

In March of last year, they were spotted having a holiday in Cuba. Later that month, they were snapped smooching in Costa Rica.

In April, they became "Instagram official" when de Armas shared a photo of the former lovebirds celebrating her birthday.

They moved in and quarantined together in Los Angeles last summer.

The 'Knives Out' star spent time with Affleck's kids, and went on a holiday to Georgia with them, Ben Affleck and his mother, Christine.

According to a number of sources, the two called it quits because they "were moving in different directions."

Reportedly, it was Ana de Armas who called off the relationship as she no longer wanted to be based in LA.

A source told US Weekly: "The breakup was amicable, [but] she was the one who called things of.

"Ben and Ana were moving in different directions in their lives and stopped seeing eye to eye. The two couldn’t work through their differences and have decided to end their relationship."

According to People's source: "Ben is no longer dating Ana. She broke it off.

"Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles."

"This is something that was mutual and something that is completely amicable," added another source close to the exes.

"They are in different points in their lives; there is deep love and respect there. Ben continues to want to work on himself.

"He has three jobs lined up and he's a solid father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives."

Ben Affleck shares two daughters, Violet and Seraphina, and a son, Samuel, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

His and Ana's split comes just days after a report by inTouch indicated the couple were on the rocks.

"The honeymoon phase is over for Ana and Ben, said an insider, adding that tensions started to arise "when they moved in together."

"Ana rocketed to stardom since dating Ben and has a bunch of movies lined up," the source continued.

"She’s young, ambitious and her career will always come first.

"While Ben wants her to succeed, he's needy and feels lost and lonely when she's off gallivanting the world without him.

"[Jennifer Garner's] whole life revolved around Ben and the kids when they were married. That’s what he's used to, but Ana is more independent."
