Oh, Chris. Yer all at it today. New Zealand may be a middle earth away but we'll still hear about such an indiscretion sooner or later.
Seemingly Chris Pine is in New Zealand starring in a film called Z is for Zachariah. Catchy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's about a 16-year-old girl who survives a nuclear war in a small US town. One can assume it was quite the fall out if she's transformed into 32-year-old Chris Pine. Anyway, he had a few sociables at the wrap party and decided to then head off in his car.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he was nabbed in the wee hours of March 1st during a routine check by Canterbury police. They would not reveal his identity at the time "due to New Zealand privacy laws. Local sorts, however, claim Chris is "due in Ashburton district court on Monday (17 March).
One of the local papers managed to pin down the manager of the Blue Pub Methven, where the wrap party was held. Apparently the film's crew hired the bar for the soiree which went on 'til 3am. Speaking with the New Zealand Herald, bar manager Casey Crawford said: "Chris Pine arrived here and had his girlfriend (Iris Bjork Johannesdottir) with him and he spent most of his time with her (probably trying to pronounce her name) - she flew in that day someone told me."
