Since the release of 'Call Me By Your Name', Armie Hammer's career and fame has gone in one direction - up.
Naturally, with that comes a certain amount of weirdness from fans and admirers and a lot of it is usually benign - such as being asked to sign weird things. In Hammer's case, he's being asked to sign peaches. As he explained to Stephen Colbert, he can normally pick out fans of 'Call Me By Your Name' by this fact. "I get handed at least a peach or two [at] almost every stage door," Hammer explained.
"The first time someone handed me a peach, I was like, ‘Oh, thanks.’ And they go, ‘No no no, that’s not for you. Will you sign it for me?’ I was like, ‘You want me to sign a peach?’ They were like, ‘Yeah.’ I’ve got a sharpie in my hand, so I’m like, ‘Okay.’ So I signed it, and as hand it back I go, ‘You’re not going to eat that, are you? I mean, there’s sharpie on it!’ And they go, ‘No,’ which made me feel better about [them] not eating it because it had sharpie, but then I was like, ‘So what are you going to do with it?'"
Well, if you've seen 'Call Me By Your Name', it's kind of obvious what you could do with it. But, eh, let's not... go into that... here.
Let's watch the clip instead. OK then.
