It's all go with the hospital happenings this morning.
Amanda Holden, who is almost nine months pregnant, admitted herself to hospital two days ago, which meant she had to pull out of her BGT judging duties yesterday. leaving new girl Alesha Dixon with the task of acting as a flirting barrier between David Walliams and Simon Cowell.
Sky News reports: "Pregnant Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has spent a second night in hospital after pulling out of the latest round of auditions for the reality television contest. The actress, 40, who gave birth to a stillborn baby in 2011 and suffered a miscarriage the year before, has been under the observation of doctors since admitting herself to hospital on Monday. Holden, who is more than eight months pregnant, was forced to pull out of the Blackpool auditions of Britain's Got Talent (BGT) yesterday morning. She had been due to join fellow judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams on the panel at the seaside town."
Cowell is no doubt distressed by this development - how is he meant to pit two female judges against each other when there's only one on the panel?! Not that Amanda or Alesha were going to stoop to such a level. Of working together, Amanda said at the launch of this year's series: "'I won't stand for any b**tard saying we're in a fashion war. I'm 40 and up the duff!" And Alesha's clearly more open to flashing flesh in January. Amanda added: "I'm excited about Alesha. For years I've been the only girl between two egos and I've taken a lot of stick. It will be nice to have another girl."
But what of Kelly Brook's stint? "It's a difficult one, but I think she (Alesha) has probably got something else - a brain."
New judge number 2, David Walliams, added: "When Kelly did the show, she asked Ant and Dec what they did on it. I have seen the show, so I haven't made that mistake - I've learned which is Ant and which is Dec, so I should be fine."
