A mere six months since losing a son at 7 months, Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes have announced they're expecting a baby girl in approximinately six months time.
Announcing the news, the 40-year-old BGT judge said: "Chris and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl. The first half of this year has been unbelievably difficult for us. We would like to thank everyone for their support, it has been so incredible and we really are beyond thrilled to share this news."
Of her pregnancy this time around, Amanda added: "I will be putting myself and this pregnancy first. I've taken medical advice and, although I am a strong girl and this is 'once again' a good healthy pregnancy, I will absolutely not be taking any risks... (her five-year-old daughter) Lexi's question of the day (and most days) 'Mama when are you going to get a baby in your tummy?' Happy to say TODAY Lexi! Mama is pregnant! Yay."
Speaking with The Sun, Amanda recently said: "This year feels like I've been in my own movie (she'also been starring in Shrek The Musical, so that would add to that notion alright) - this weird, wonderful, awful, tragic movie."
Here's wishing her a happy ending come the new year. Yes, that's as schmaltzy as it comes, but she's been through the wringer, have a heart. I dusted off mine a while back and it's not that unsettling.
