The first joint statement from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt since their divorce was announced is pretty damning, to say the least.
In a relatively clinical and sterile release, Jolie and Pitt announced that both parties "and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues."
In other words, all court documents and statements will be sealed and made confidential. Prior to this, Jolie's legal team had claimed in court documents that Pitt's attempt to make the trial confidential was a ploy to "shield himself, rather than the minor children, from public view."
Currently, Jolie has physical custody of their children whilst Pitt has supervised visits with them. She is seeking to retain physical custody of the children whilst Pitt is seeking joint custody. No trial date has been set as of yet.
