You like Star Wars, right? You like music, right? Then buy these headphones already.
SMS Audio, the people who make 50 Cent's brand of headphones, are continuing their assault on the world of movie crossover products with a range of Star Wars headphones to meet the demand in the market for those who want to express their undying love of the epic sci-fi saga, but still look cool while listening to music.
The first edition of the collection (which can be seen on their website) included a number of designs based on characters from the original trilogy, but even in the new collection we're going to have to keep waiting for our Jar Jar Binks brand Beats, it appears. This year's range includes another Darth Vader model, and one for those lovable rogues the Imperial Stormtroopers, but they have added a Chewbacca/wookie theme as well as one modelled after R2-D2.
The first edition headphones are on sale on the SMS Audio website for €199.99 and come complete with all sorts of bits and pieces of memorabilia for you to throw in a corner of your room somewhere, including a Star Wars embossed carry case, a Star Wars branded removable cable (with a mic attached), Star Wars branded soft touch cleaning cloth, a special edition poster, surprisingly also to do with Star Wars, and a sheet of stickers, once again branded by Star Wars. We presume the next collection, which are not yet available on the site, will be up soon enough.
Truly, when Darth wants to just tune out and listen to his hot, steaming house beats, these are his headphones of choice. Despite all that Star Wars branding, they still refuse to take payment in standard issue Galactic Credits, instead insisting on "real money".
