Everyone wants to be a millionaire, but the real question is how are you going to go about doing it?

However, have you ever actually thought about how you could do it? Sure winning the lotto is an option, but the odds aren't exactly in your favour there.
We've got a few ideas for the less-travelled paths that lead to vast riches that you might not have thought of before.

With regularly organised tournaments across the globe in any type of game you care to mention, making a million quid playing video games might put all that time spent on the couch with a controller in your hand to good use. If you make this your job, you get to sit in a comfortable chair and you don’t have to go outside and deal with the weather. While the sports games offer the most opportunities to win serious cash at a tournament, there are a number of other games that offer prizes in both individual and multiplayer competitions, just make sure to pick your team-mates wisely.
Catch a Fish
Well, actually catch a lot of fish, in particular big ones. If your dream job is one where you basically sit in a boat and fish have the potential to take home a big fat paycheck (and some seafood), perhaps becoming a professional bass fisher is perfect for you. Professional bass fishers can easily earn several million across the span of their careers, plus there are a lot of options to get endorsements. Or you could just go out and see can you get your life in general sponsored.
Create an Internet Phenomenon
Thanks to the internet, it seems like it's becoming easier to be come an instant millionaire. While we don't really expect you to come up with the next Facebook (that would be good if you could though, just make sure to give us a shout so we can invest early doors), you can still make some spare cash on the internet if you've got a grumpy looking cat, or a handsome dog that looks particularly stylish. Look, Grumpy Cat even had her own Christmas movie, there's actual money in this, we swear.
Play Poker
Brush up on the difference between a Royal Flush and a Full House and you could be in for a pretty decent windfall. PokerStars makes millionaires, the world’s largest online poker site has created millionaires during their tournaments. They recently announced their PokerStars Makes Millionaires Promotion where they will bestow millionaire status on at least five of their players over the next two months. The road to a million includes free-to-play events and low buy-in tournaments. Some of the tournaments include both online and live events, but if you play online you won't have to work too hard on you poker face.
Be a Foosball Champion
At one stage or another, we've all come across a foosball table and gotten overly involved in it. Something about it taps into the human pysche and our desire to win at sports without having to do all that running around, and if you happen to be pretty good at it, you could consider turning pro. Competitions are held throughout the world, but becoming an instant millionaire playing foosball is a not the easiest task to accomplish. The game is significantly harder than it appears and the rigours of being a pro are described in the documentary Foos. We also hear that the smack talk is pretty hurtful and elaborate.
