Wanqiu Sun

Wanqiu Sun is from Hebei, China. She graduated from Beijing Normal University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies & Digital Media Arts. During her undergraduate career, she directed and produced over ten short films. Several of her projects won awards at the Beijing College School Student Festival, China Computer Design Competition, etc. In 2014, she was accepted by American Film Institute as an editing fellow. At AFI, she edited over ten short films and assisted and supervised over five films. Wanqiu is a passionate and enthusiastic storyteller, concentrating on craft and technique as well as narrative and creativity. Exploring characters from performance to tell the right story is one of her favorite aspects of editing.
