Tomas Vengris

Tomas, a first generation American, was greatly influenced by his parents’’ homeland of Lithuania. He spent most of his childhood summers exploring the small Baltic coun- try and meeting many life-long friends along the way. He received a BA in Political Science from Columbia University before moving to Lithuania to study Photography and Video Art at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. After a brief return to New York, Tomas packed his things and drove to sunny California to join the directing discipline at the American Film Institute.
