Thomas D. Hartmann
Thomas Hartmann is a graduate of the American Film Institute with an MFA in Producing. He is a native of Chicago, where he received his BA in Communications from DePaul University. Prior to the film industry, he worked in digital media for Critical Mass, Tribune Company, and Legendary Pictures. Thomas is drawn to films that trigger conversations, particularly about subjects that are often not touched upon. During his first year at AFI, he produced seven short films, including his thesis SAINT PAUL - a story examining the psychologically destructive aspects of white supremacy. He is currently producing two feature films and is developing a one-hour drama pilot for TV with a premium cable network. In working on a variety of projects, Thomas enjoys the freedom that imagination allows through intensive and fruitful collaborations.
