Sydney Meadow

Sydney Meadow is a recent honors graduate of the University of Chicago, where he specialized in Cinema and Media Studies and earned high distinction for his thesis research concerning the work of Peter Greenaway and its relationship to Soviet theorist Mikhail Bakhtin and the fiction of Francois Rabelais. Although, before coming to the AFI Conservatory, his cinematic education was predominantly academic, Meadow’’s experiences as a free style wrestler in the Russian cities of Vladimir and Suzdal, digging trail in Northwest Montana for three years, and navigating the British film world while studying at King’’s College London have informed his creative decisions while at the conservatory. He is a native of Chicago’’s Southside.
