Sweta Rai

Breaking the professional stereotypes, Sweta left her computer engineering degree to pursue media studies back in India. She worked as a TV Newscaster in the leading News Channels of India and earned master’’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and an MBA in Marketing. She independently produced half hour TV drama pilot episodes in Mumbai. She worked for Discovery Channel in Singapore where she was designated as their Global Diversity Ambassador (Brand Ambassador). A trained Indian classical singer, actress of Indian daily soaps; Sweta has also represented India in various multi-cultural campaigns internationally. Currently, along with her fellowship at AFI, she is assisting a Producer in Hollywood for the production of big budget movies.
