Stephanie Nilles

Stephanie Nilles is a Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute, where she has produced six narrative shorts and co-wrote two films. She received an undergraduate degree in business from Queen’’s University in eastern Canada. She also studied abroad for a year in England and Denmark, and taught screenwriting, directing, and editing for several summers at the Gulf Islands Film & Television School near Vancouver, B.C. In 2013, she was selected for a mentorship program for emerging producers through the Canadian Media Producers Association.

Stephanie has worked on several TV sitcoms and was a producer’’s assistant at Thunderbird Films on the TV show “Some Assembly Required.” In 2014, she produced a feature-length documentary on labor conditions in the U.S. and was a producer’’s assistant on the feature film “The Birdwatcher.” She recently produced an AFI Directing Workshop for Women short film.
