Stella Wanshu Deng

Stella is a Hong Kong- based production designer for film and commercials. She received a BA in Translation from Hong Kong Baptist University and completed the professional certificate in Interior and Architectural Design in HK Design Institute. She worked as a fashion show set designer for two years, for clients including Elie Saab and Ralph Lauren. With her background in fashion, she decided to apply her creativity to the film industry. She excels at transforming the intricacies of scripts into visuals that are symbolically sophisticated or extravagantly eye-catching. Stella’’s short film, PLASTIC, was nominated at the 2015 Shanghai Pride Film Festival. She is currently a production design fellow at the American Film Institute.
