Simo Manfredi

Simo Manfredi graduated from Bologna University, Italy in 2003 with a BA in Cinema Criticism and Analysis. That same year, she was accepted as a directing fellow at Milan Film and Television School, from which she graduated in 2006. Manfredi has traveled around Europe and North America working as assistant director until she was accepted as a directing fellow at The American Film Institute in 2010. YOU GOT THIS is one of two thesis films that Simo will be directing at AFI this year.

Simo is a happy and twisted human being who loves to travel and be challenged. Since she was very young she played tennis for 13 years, yet hated everything about it especially the running. Running for her was a form of torture… Until NOW. Simo is committed to get back into training and to discover what the running world is all about. This project means a lot for her and she is committed to GET THIS!!!
