Shamim Seifzadeh

Shamim grew up in Iran, where owning a VHS player was outlawed and good quality films hard to come by. Despite the terrible quality, she became obsessed with films and her love for the cinema was cemented. She moved to the United States at the age of 21 and studied mechanical engineering at UIUC. After graduation, she became a project manager for the United States Navy, while doing production design for short films and music videos. Last year, she decided to quit her job and study Production Design at the American Film Institute.
