Sean McWilliams graduated from Chapman University with honors in philosophy in 2009. He then moved to Los Angeles where he began working as a freelance writer, director, and editor on music videos, web commercials, and video installations. He is now currently working on a graduate degree at the American Film Institute as a directing fellow. Some of his notable past works include SALESMAN (2012) which won an Audience Award for Best Film at the 2013 Zero Film Festival in Los Angeles; as well as an LDC scholarship grant for his current time at AFI. He has also created video installation works which have been exhibited in several Los Angeles gallery's including the Getty's Pacific Standard Time Exhibitions at Loyola Marymount in 2011.
