Sean Furst
ProducerSean recently completed the feature EVERYTHING PUT TOGETHER. Directed by Marc Forster and starring Radha Mitchell, EPT was an official selection for the dramatic competition of the 2000 Sundance Film Festival and winner of the Independent Spirit Award for “Director to Watch”. For this feature, Sean employed the exciting new medium of Digital Video, which is now at the forefront of motion picture technology.
Currently in production for Furst Films is the black comedy OWNING MOWHONY. This feature is being directed by Richard Kwietniowski (LOVE AND DEATH ON LONG ISLAND) and stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Minnie Driver and John Hurt.
In pre-production are RAIN FALLS, written and to be directed by Marlene King (NOW AND THEN), currently casting with Kate Beckinsale and Christian Slater attached to star, and the David Raynr (TRIPPIN) directed urban comedy SUCKAZ, written by Jamie Kennedy and Nick Swardson in which they both will star.
Upcoming projects for Furst Films include THE SPECTATOR, written by Tyger Williams and to be directed by the Hughes Brothers (MENACE II SOCIETY, DEAD PRESIDENTS), CONTROL written by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer with Marc Forster (EVERYTHING PUT TOGETHER) attached to direct, X-MAS, written and to be directed by Larry O’’Neil (BREAST MEN), CHOWDERHEAD by Rick Moore, and THE LOW SPARK OF REUBEN MORRIS by Matt Dawson with Neal Abramson (RINGMASTER) directing.
Furst also produced the feature film BLUE RIDGE FALL which was acquired by HBO as a Premiere. It starred Peter Facinelli, Chris Isaak, Tom Arnold and Amy Irving.
Sean’’s professional experience in the entertainment industry spans 10 years. He has held positions at the New York-based, River One Films as well as Roger Corman’’s Concord/New Horizons, Christine Forsythe-Peters Productions and at Arnold Kopelson Productions. After relocating to Los Angeles he entered a first-look deal as a producer with Davis Entertainment at 20th Century Fox. He then established Furst Films.
Furst holds a Bachelor’’s degree from the University of Southern California in Business and Theater.
