Sara Mast

After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in Women’’s Studies, Sara hauled her student films and her bone collection off to Oakland, CA and began freelancing as a camera assistant. Credits include THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH, NASH BRIDGES and WHAT DREAMS MAY COME. She also directed a documentary in Papua New Guinea, trekked through Nepal, snuck over the Cambodian Border and rode her bicycle across France. This however, did not allow her the time to write and pursue her screenwriting vocation. Now rabidly trying to churn out material, Sara won the 1997 Film Arts Foundation short screenplay contest and was a semi-finalist in AFI ‘s Directing Workshop for Women.
