Sara Iyer

Sara first began editing 16 mm film with a razor blade while attending UC Santa Barbara. In 2007 she graduated with a BA in Film and Media Studies, and moved to Los Angeles to work as an editor. She edited short films and music videos and worked as an assistant editor at a documentary production company before deciding to attend AFI as an Editing Fellow. Outside of AFI, she most recently cut a feature length documentary called MANUFACTURING STOKE, which explores the movement toward sustainability in the surfing industry.
