Saman Shafaghi

Sam Shafaghi is a comedian and writer from Toronto, and the host of his own comedy sketch web series called "The Weekly." His career began as an assistant and researcher at Canada's most popular late-night show, GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT. He produced the mockumentary short film MY HERITAGE (2013), which won Best Film at the WILDSound Film Festival and screened at the Reel Asian Film Festival. Shafaghi maintains a writing blog on Tumblr ("Something Something Writing") and his work has been published in McSweeney's Internet Tendency.
