Sage Scroope

Sage began her career on stage, following in her family’’s footsteps at the age of five. She started writing in a co-op which later developed into scripting sketch comedy for stage and screen. Gravitating towards more technical positions, Sage produced the Australian Theatrical Premiere of David Auburn’’s Tony Award winning play, Proof. However, cinema’’s mystique won out. She has worked on over 40 short films, independent features, documentaries and music videos. Sage has spent the last seven years co-writing and producing short films in Sydney, Australia, until her acceptance at AFI in 2008. This past year she was awarded the Irwin and Sheila Allen Scholarship in recognition of her talent and academic achievement at AFI.
