Sabrina has just completed her MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. In 2011, the British film academy designated her a Brit to Watch. She’’s a recipient of BAFTA LA’’s 25th Anniversary Scholarship, as well as a Fulbright Scholarship and Mary Pickford Scholarship.

Prior to AFI, Sabrina worked as a BBC journalist for six years while simultaneously writing and directing award-winning short films, including Polanów (2002).

She was born in London to an Irish-Italian family and was the first student from her inner-city high school to win a place at Cambridge University, where she got a Master’’s in European Literature, as well as a First Class Bachelor’’s.
