Robert Weiermair

Rob Weiermair grew up in both Austria and Canada spending much of his youth traveling through Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia. Having spent his earlier career in the sciences with two Masters degrees in Engineering, Rob boasts an accomplished resume as a corporate executive and as an entrepreneur on the cutting edge of alternative energy developments. However, Rob’’s love of film and theater created a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde existence. For a considerable time, Rob found time in his corporate existence to direct numerous plays and two award winning short films, 2 Dogs Inside (www.2dogsinside.com) and Tres (www.threepoems.com), but he is finally pur- suing his true passion, directing. He is completing his 2nd year of study as an AFI Fellow and plans to make socially relevant films that cause people to think, question, re-evaluate, and overcome.
