Ralph Jean-Pierre
Ralph Jean-Pierre was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and moved to the United States with his family when he was three years- old. Since then, he has lived all over the eastern seaboard and spent a year teaching English in Hiroshima, Japan. These experiences have caused him to have a tremendous appreciation for many different cultures and have an understanding of the journey immigrants go through living in America. Prior to receiving his MFA from AFI Conservatory, he graduated from Washington Adventist University with a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics, as well as a minor in Media Production. In 2007, upon returning from Hiroshima, Ralph decided to follow his passion, leave Washington DC, and pursue a career as a film editor in Los Angeles. While at AFI, he has edited over eight short films and edited his first internationally distributed feature film, BIGFOOT: THE LOST COAST TAPES.
