Rachel Katz

Rachel is a graduate of Cornell University as a double major in Film and American Studies and the American Film Institute as an editing fellow. In addition to directing and shooting several short films within the Cornell Film Department, Rachel also worked on several outside projects with the Dance and Theater Departments. She created short film and instillation pieces for HIPOP (dance) and ALICE IN WONDERLAND (theater). During her first year as an AFI fellow, Rachel edited six short narrative films, a short documentary, as well as THE D­MONSTER, one of eight projects selected for AFI’’s Directing Workshop for Women. In her second year, she edited two thesis films, MY FIRST CLAIRE and CLEAR BLUE.
