Qiyu Zhou

After graduating from Beijing Film Academy in 2010, Qiyu Zhou began her creative life as a photographer, with work exhibited in Minneapolis and published in magazines. In 2014, Qiyu enrolled at Florida State University, contributing to several award-winning shorts. Since graduating, Qiyu has moved to Los Angeles, CA to study at the American Film Institute, focusing on action and horror films told from a female perspective. Her short films The Koi, an official selection of Burbank International Film Festival, and Katana, nominated as Best Student Film at SoCal Clips Indie Film Fest, have been screened in festivals around the world.
