Poppy Das edited documentaries professionally for eight years before coming to the AFI in order to make the transition to narrative film. She has cut 12 one-hour programs for national broadcast on PBS, including four documentaries that were part of the critically acclaimed Novo series, and the award-winning AS I SEE IT: A PORTRAIT OF DOROTHY WEST. Poppy edited the pilot for the 10-part PBS series, AMERICAS, and she was an Associate Editor on three shows for the Emmy Award winning series, FRONTLINE. Poppy has just completed work as the First Assistant and Montage Editor on the Polygram Film Entertainment feature, S.EW. AFI has celebrated her outstanding work on DEATH IN VENICE, CA with the Hal Ashby Award.
