Peter Barnes

Peter Barnes saw his screenplay for the film ENCHANTED APRIL (starring Miranda Richardson) nominated for an Academy Award and has written plays that have been performed by Britain's leading actors, including Sir John Gielgud, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright, Paul Scofield, lan McKellen, Alan Bates, John Hurt, Peggy Ashcroft, Alec Guiness and Laurence Olivier. His many plays for the stage include The Bewitched, The Ruling Class and Sclerosis. Screenplays for feature films include MURPHY'S LAW, THE RULING CLASS, ONE HAND CLAPPING, VOICES and THE SOLOIST.

Projects for television include HARD TIMES, SPIRIT OF MAN, REVOLUTIONARY WITNESS and BYE COLUMBUS as well as Hallmark Entertainment's miniseries/specials MERLIN (which received 14 Emmy nominations), ALICE IN WONDERLAND, NOAH'S ARK, ARABIAN NIGHTS, LEPRECHAUNS and Patrick Stewart's A CHRISTMAS CAROL.
