Ziqi Gao

Ziqi Gao is a writer and award-winning producer from Changchun, China, who uncovers unique stories that are worth to be told. She accomplished her BFA degree in the School of Visual Arts in New York and recently graduated from American Film Institute's MFA producing program. 

Based worldwide, Ziqi managed to produce projects varying from narratives and commercials to animations in different languages. Her work IRRETRIEVABLE was a semi-finalist at Rhode Island International Film Festival; BEYOND EXPRESSION was the award winner at the China NEW ERA film festival and Los Angeles Indie Short Film Festival. 

Ziqi is currently working at New Republic Pictures (1917, TOP GUN, BLACK SWAN) in script development in Los Angeles. Back in Beijing, China, she worked at CineHello, the largest online platform for filmmakers in China, and Zhao's Brothers Picture, a national-leading production company. She also worked at the Producers Guild of America (PGA) New York office, glancing at the American film industry's bigger picture.
