Mon Castro

Mon Castro, called one of the top 10 pioneering leaders revolutionizing the entertainment field by LA Weekly, is a Mexican producer based in Los Angeles. She graduated from Centro de Diseño, Cine y Televisión with a degree in Film and Television, and earned her MFA in Producing at the American Film Institute Conservatory. She has experience in both office and set in two countries, and her work has been screened in multiple international film festivals. Mon was a development intern at Maniac Productions in support of the company’s deal with Blumhouse Television, and at James Wan’s Atomic Monster. Most recently, her short film CUANDO VOLVIMOS A LA TIERRA is a finalist of the McDonald's Spotlight Dorado competition. Mon holds a special affinity for all things horror and camp. She is also interested in feminism, LGBTQIA+ stories, activism for animal rights, and history.
