Sarah Hanks

Sarah Hanks is the Writer/Director of the Thai language film Arun, which premiered at Cinequest Film and VR Festival in 2018. Her industry roles have included Production Coordinator, Production Manager, and Associate Producer, as well as support staff in a TV writers’ room (Empire). Outside of the industry, Sarah has nearly a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, using art for community development around the globe. Her efforts include raising awareness of sex trafficking using street theater, developing youth leaders through photography, and promoting community healing through art therapy. Sarah holds a BA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and an MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory.
