Luisa Dalé Silva
Luísa (she/her) is a Brazilian-born cinematographer with a passion for storytelling. She holds a degree in History from the Universidade de Brasília and studied Cinematography at the Escuela Superior de Cinema y Audiovisual de la Cataluña (ESCAC) in Barcelona, where she honed her craft.
Luísa is drawn to projects that delve into the complexity of characters and their personal journeys. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Brazilian Association of Cinematography (ABC), the Brazilian Collective of Women, Trans and non-binary cinematographers of Brazil (DAFB), Women in Film (WIF), Chicanas Director's Initiative (CDI), Women in Media (WiM), the Society of Camera Operators (SOC) and Growth & Co.
Currently, Luísa is pursuing her MFA in Cinematography at the American Film Institute (AFI) and is a mentee in the ASC Vision Mentorship Program 22/23. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian.
Luísa is based in both Los Angeles and São Paulo, reflecting her deep cultural roots and international perspective.
