Samuel Grant
Samuel Grant is an English Cinematographer who likes to keep his foundations shallow, ensuring he has the freedom to travel and work internationally. Samuel has had an eclectic journey from working as a Mechanic to a professional Inline hockey player where by he won a Olympic Gold Medal representing Great Britain in 2008. From pushing to pursue a passion of photography Samuel began working in the camera department in the UK, he spent over a decade working his way through the ranks on BAFTA and EMMY winning productions like Peaky Blinders & Sherlock. Samuel is a firm believer that none of us can do this alone, collaboration is key. A strong team player who loves to tell relational stories wrapped up in an array of genres. As a recent father he is most drawn to stories revolving around families. Born and raised in Derby, UK he hopes to aspire young filmmakers from less affluent families in the hope to make equal opportunites to all demographics. His short films have been screened internationally from Berlin – New York with his most recent short that he wrote “MINE” being screened at the Raindance Film Festival.
