Dahlia Hamdan

Dahlia Hamdan graduated as a 2022 Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory, and a graduate from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts, with a BA in Film, Video, Animation, and New Genres. Dahlia has produced multiple short films, including two productions as president of the UWM student organization, Reel Women, giving on-set experience to marginalized student filmmakers. During her time at UW-Milwaukee, she also brought BLACK PANTHER costume designer, Ruth Carter, to campus to highlight her impressive film career, just months before Ruth won her first Academy Award. She attended networking opportunities at Slamdance and Sundance through the university in 2018 and 2019. Dahlia has also worked professionally on commercial projects, and interned on SMALL TOWN WISCONSIN, an independent feature film shot in Milwaukee, WI. Dahlia’s influences stem from her unique mixed background being Mexican and Arab American, as well as growing up in her family’s restaurant in a small town in Wisconsin.
