Nayef Yassine

Nayef was born in Zurich in 1969 and returned to Switzerland after spending the first ten years of his life in Italy. His fondness for sports led him to compete in athletics, and motivated him to get a degree in physical education. His fascination with languages led him to study French Literature. Captivated by the syncretic and complete art of movie making, he attempted to approach film by studying the history and aesthetic codes of cinema. Persuaded that theory without practice was not the best lighting of film, he began to focus on how to make films. He assisted the direction of Swiss documentaries and organized various shoots in Switzerland, France, Germany and Italy.
