Nathan Bailey
Nathan began his training in Production Design at the Baltimore School for the Arts, a performing arts high school, in the Theater Design program from 1999-2003. In 2007 Nathan earned his BA in Film from Emerson College, with a minor in Political Communications. While in college, Nathan studied at the Boston Architectural Center, where he was able to build on his design portfolio while continuing to learn all aspects of film production at Emerson. Nathan also studied at The Maryland Institute College of Art, in the continuing education program, to add to his visual arts skills. In 2006 Nathan worked as a Production Assistant on the award winning short film ALMA. In 2008 Nathan was accepted to The American Film Institute in Los Angeles to earn his MFA in Production Design. Between his first and second years at AFI, in the summer of 2009, Nathan was hired as the Production Designer on his first independent feature film, THE APOCALYPSE…ACCORDING TO DORIS, directed by Victor Goss and filmed in Los Angeles and Boron, California. Nathan graduated with an MFA from the AFI Conservatory in 2010.
