Moritz Rautenberg

Born in Germany in the 80’s, Moritz grew up with a still camera that you had to put a little magical spool of film in and wait a week to see a part of you index finger on dozens of his photographs. That didn’t kill off his excitement for images. Around a hundred years after the birth of motion picture he discovered that the moving picture was even more powerful than a couple of still photos. Since then he has shot a dozen of award-winning commercials as a cinematographer before making his biggest step towards feature films-Going to the U.S. for his Cinematography Masters at AFI. Having learned from and with the best Moritz is striving to create emotional images that spark the same excitement that he feels watching life in its probably most glorious form: in the movies.
