Moira Morel

Moira is an accomplished cinematographer with a background in both documentary and narrative filmmaking. Since graduating from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA in 2004 with a focus in Documentary Film Theory, Moira has been dedicating herself to working as a cinematographer on film and video projects that focus on women and the LGBTQ community. Moira has shot various documentaries, including a feature titled THE PUNK SINGER, and a handful of narrative shorts. Many of them have screened and won awards at film festivals nationally and internationally. She was awarded the You Go Girl and the Gregori Jakovina scholarships along with the Bendiner Morgenson scholarship, the Visual Arts scholarship and the Pride Foundation Community scholarship through both the Equity Foundation and the Pride Foundation. Moira was also the recipient of the prestigious Tom Yoda Scholarship through AFI.
