Mickey Jones has had an eclectic career in music, film and

television. Recent film credits include Billy Bob Thornton's SLING BLADE and TIN CUP

with Kevin Costner, in which Mickey performs one of the hit songs in the film. Mickey's

other film credits include DROP ZONE with Wesley Snipes, THE SUNCHASER with Woody

Harrelson, A FAMILY THING, TOTAL RECALL, NADINE, EXTREME PREJUDICE with Nick Nolte,

John Carpenter's STARMAN and National Lampoon 's VACATION. He also starred with Billy

Bob Thornton in the recent HBO film DON'T LOOK BACK.

Mickey grew up in Texas, where Trini Lopez discovered his musical talent and

encouraged him to move to LA. He recorded a string of hit songs and albums with

Johnny Rivers, and he performed with Bob Dylan and Robby Robertson in The Band.

Mickey was a member of the band The First Edition for over a decade. After the

dissolution of The First Edition in 1976, he concentrated his energies on his acting

career. Mickey's extensive TV work includes a recurring role on HOME IMPROVEMENT,

and guest starring roles on NORTHERN EXPOSURE, HEARTS AFIRE, EVENING SHADE, IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, BAYWATCH and MATLOCK.
