Michal Dubal

Michal Dabal was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. He studied cinematography at the Warsaw Film School, graduating in 2007. Michal directed and photographed the short film "PRALNIA”, which earned numerous awards at international festivals, many of them for Best Cinematography. In 2008, he became a Cinematography fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles. Since then, he has collaborated on several fiction narrative projects. Michal apprenticed under master cinematographer Janusz Kaminski on "HANIA", Steven Spielberg's "MUNICH" and most recently on the James L. Brooks' project "HOW DO YOU KNOW?". "MY FIRST CLAIRE" will mark his fourth collaboration with director Lou Howe.
