Michael McGuire

Prior to attending the AFI, Michael’s work as an actor, writer, director, and fight choreographer has been seen on stage, TV, and in many short films. As an associate producer and editor with Loosely Translated, he served clients such as Entertainment Weekly, Christie’s, and Time, Inc. Michael has a track record of producing socially-conscious entertainment, from environmental web videos for the LIVE EARTH Concerts to his award winning shorts, “Hollywood HealthCare Partnership” (winner of the first “Filmanthropy” Scholarship Competition), and “Water Thicker Than Oil,” the Audience Choice Award winner at the 2008 Intelligent Use of Water Film Competition. Michael was elected by the AFI’s second year fellows as their class representative, and currently works as a screenplay analyst for Relativity Media in Los Angeles.
