Michael Baltazar

Michael Baltazar has just finished writing and directing his first independent feature, The Deserted, produced by Oscar‐winning screenwriter Pamela Wallace. He is a veteran of visual effects having worked on well known Hollywood blockbusters as a visual effects technical director and sequence supervisor including the Star Wars Prequels, King Kong and most recently Avatar. Additionally, Michael worked as a commercials director with Unitel Productions in the Philippines and as an independent freelance director and director of photography under his film company Frankincense Films, LLC. Michael graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and has a master's degree from AFI in cinematography where he was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan science scholarship.
