Mélisse Riahi

Mélisse Riahi earned her bachelor's degree at Cal State University Long Beach where she studied International Business. For the next five years, she held steady jobs in the creative marketing field working for companies such as Apple and Vice Media while pursuing her interest of the film. Mélisse has photographed a variety of films ranging in form, content, and genre. For her, narrative storytelling, in and of itself, is a collection of boundaries — it challenges you to stick to a certain set of who’’s, what’’s, where’’s and why’’s — but these boundaries push her to create more meaningful images. Her cinematography work is heavily informed by her fervent love for photography and interest in art history growing up.
