Melissa Krystofiak

Melissa’s first year at AFI has been an eye opener to say the least. She entered into this program in August as an Industrial Designer with a yearning for something more. Film was a new field for her to work in as a designer. The projects were bigger, and team collaboration with many difference disciplines was a great learning experience; industrial design being just one client, where as film has multiple levels of relationships. With the skills she brings as a designer, the job of creating a visual world for the characters to live in, film is just another medium to showcase her design aspirations – mind you in a much LARGER medium. With her first year of Production Design training under her belt, and her peppy and fun attitude, she only hopes to grow even more in the future.
