
Melissa Hickey
ActorMelissa is a graduate of Columbia University with a background in Anthropology; she pursued additional study in Cairo for Egyptology and then Oxford for Shakespeare and Jacobean Drama. After a professional acting career that included spots on "LAW AND ORDER", Showtime's GOLDCOAST, and Mira Nair's THE PEREZ FAMILY, Melissa turned her attention to film editing, and then eventually, directing. Her first short, SHE'S GONE, was the recipient of the Silver Palm Award/Mexico International Film Festival; she used the film to gain entrance into the American Film Institute's Conservatory program. She is currently completing her second year of her master’s degree and has been awarded both the Petrie Scholarship and WIF Scholarship for directing. Most recently, Melissa was granted the DGA's Jury Award for her work in Ni-Ni.
