Meena Singh

Meena Singh is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Cinematography, and she is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Cinematography at the American Film Institute. Before attending AFI she shot several films, including two features – 5150 and Buscando a Leti (both available on home video), commercials for the American Cancer Society and Carl’s Jr., and award winning short films. She was also a professional Camera Assistant (Product Productions, Wilson Grand Comm., The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show, etc.) and Rental Manager/Technician for the Arri camera house MPS Inc. in Chicago. During her time at AFI she has shot three short films – “The Girl and Her Wicked Shadow,” “Starting From Scratch” and “Spring.” Believing that film is a collaborative art, Meena explores all areas of the craft. In her free time, she enjoys writing, directing, producing, shooting and editing productions with fellow independent filmmakers.
