Mary Alexandra Dennis-Renner
WriterAlex grew up in America’s Heartland (Omaha, Neb.) before spending the better part of ten years in New York City as a director of acquisitions for the former streaming platform, SnagFilms.
Alex relocated to Los Angeles to join the American Film Institute Conservatory as a fellow in the Screenwriting program, where she then received my Master of Fine Arts in 2020.
She believes in using genre—particularly comedy and horror—to further explore characters and examine American cultural experiences, trends, and biases through an obscure, unconventional lens.
